Now Genevieve and Dan are taking time out of their busy schedules running Sittercity to plan an extravagant and elegant Venetian-style fantasy wedding in Chicago on October 7, 2007. Guests will arrive at Cafe Brauer and be entranced with rich fall colors while their tables host magnificent gold candelabras, glass details and ornate candles for a spectacular display by Kehoe Designs. Each candelabrum will feature dramatic designs of merlot roses, orange roses, blue and purple hydrangeas and merlot hanging amarnatheus, gold orchids, sherry baby orchids and rich fall foliages.
Suspended from the ceiling of Cafe Brauer's great hall will be five huge crystal orange, black and red chandeliers, and hanging from the loggia will be a collection of Fortuny chandeliers. The guests will drink from etched crystal stemware and dine with gold flatware provided by Tablescapes. Linens, provided by BBJ Linens, will drape these elegant tables in colors of eggplant merlot, cinnabar, burgundy and gold. The most dramatic part of the experience for the guests, as well as the groom, will be the beginning of the ceremony, which will be held in clear tent on the waters of Lincoln Park. Guests' heads will turn as the bride, a professional Chicago opera singer as well as CEO, arrives in a gondola with live opera surrounding her entrance.
And in keeping with the fact that they are the heads of America's largest babysitting company, Genevieve and Dan don't intend to make the kids stay home. Little ones will be looked after by some of the best babysitters from Sittercity.com's database of hundreds of thousands of sitters nationwide. Sittercity also doesn't just serve kids -- there will be a Sittercity.com petsitter to watch Dan's sister's dog, Jamison, so that she can leave the pooper scooper at the hotel and shake her tail on the dance floor!
