Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Extends Work/Life Balance to Employees Through Partnership with Sittercity.com

Tuesday, March 25, 2008
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

(Chicago, Ill.) - One of the greatest challenges any hospital has is recruitment and retention of nurses – especially for the dreaded third shift and most certainly if that nurse has children, pets or an elderly parent to care for. Leading the forefront of helping cut down absenteeism of staff, along with providing incentive for potential employees, the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta has renewed its partnership with the Sittercity.com Corporate Program, which gives their employees instant access to more than 8,000 local babysitters, nannies, petsitters, senior care providers, housesitters and tutors through Sittercity.com's database of Atlanta sitters, as well as hundreds of thousands of sitters nationwide. Profiles of sitters contain references, photos, background checks, feedback from parents, calendars, contact information, videos and more than 40 different pieces of criteria on each caregiver.

"We are proud to be the premiere organization to adapt the Sittercity Corporate Program into our benefits package," said Wytaria Henley, Program Coordinator of Work Life for the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. "We signed on two years ago due to the feedback we received from our staff, especially our third shift employees. The Sittercity Corporate Program is an easy solution to a problem that many companies face with regard to absenteeism and retention of employees. What could be better for a parent that needs help when a child gets sick at the last minute than to have instant access to almost every in-home care provider in Atlanta? It's a real solution that we plan to provide for years to come."

Sittercity's Corporate Program, now going into its third year, has gained incredible popularity. In addition to their corporate program, which includes a bulk membership to Sittercity.com and a uniquely branded website portal for the company they are serving, they also offer SpeedSitting® events to corporations, run in a "speed date" format, to connect company employees with local care providers
