I live in Vinemont with my husband and 3 your old son, Gabe. I've been working with elders for about 5 years. I'm known to be a very patient and gentle person. I have a lot of experience with Alzheimer's Disease patients, and a list of other conditions. I'm very strong, and am able to help lift patients who have trouble on their own. I'm easy to get along with.
My main objective as a caregiver to elders is to prevent the patient and the family from having to make the heartbreaking decision to move into a care facility. I've had so many people tell me in retrospect how they regretted having made that decision. There are conditions in which a nursing home is the only realistic option for families, but I believe all other options should be explored first.
