Hi! My name is Heather : ) A little bit about me: Well, I’m currently a nursing student at Southern Connecticut State University (a sophomore in the program) & this is why I’m in search of a job in the New Haven area. I’m a fun, outgoing, reliable person who enjoys working with the geriatric population.

My experience (briefly): I am currently a CNA at a nursing home. I assist patients with ADL's, trained in hoyer and sarita lift, vital signs, weights, and the general housekeeping tasks such as making a bed and feeding. I have also worked in a group home with elderly patients. -further details can be obtained by resume.

My schedule is rather flexible outside of my class schedule. That, of course, cannot be altered, but can/will change every semester. I'm also a per-diem CNA, and I'm required to work one weekend/month. (I usually work just that because it’s in my hometown).

My attributes: I have a medical background: CPR/First Aid-cert, and as stated earlier, I'm a CNA and a nursing student. I have also worked in a group home, so working with an adult with any mental disability is something I feel comfortable with. I am also willing to transport!

My approach as a Senior Helper: is to talk! I found the geriatric population enjoys conversation.
