My background is Medical Laboratory Technology and I am certified in it.  I am also certified as an Esthetician (skin care specialist) with training in swedish massage and work part-time in this field.  I worked for Home Inststead for 1 year,  and also worked as a Nanny for 6 months.  I have 10 years experience taking care of my own Mother when she was between the ages of 80 -90 years old.

I have cared for 2 Alzheimer's sisters, age 79 and 91, 1 senior male after his heart attack, 1 senior lady after she had to live on an oxygen tank, 1 diabetic lady, and 1 male with Lou Gehrig's Disease.  There were also a few other seniors in the mix, but they were substitute jobs as other care givers took time off or were sick.

The children I cared for (Nanny and Tutor) were 2 little girls (age 3, 5) for one family, another family had 1 male (6 months) and 1 female (5 years) and the other family had 3 boys (newborn, 2 years, and 5 years).  I also tutored the 5 year old male with Kumon in math, and worked with him on reading.

My experience with dogs comes from my 15 years of dog sledding and running a 22 dog kennel. 12 of these dogs were Siberian Huskies and Alaskan Malamutes, witch I had until their deaths.  In the remaining 10 kennels I took in Rescues, got their health in order, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and found good homes to place them.

I was Secretary/Newletter Editor for Central Indiana Siberian Husky Club for 7 years.  My focus was the education of all people on how to care for their pets.  I have had dogs ever since I was a child.  Can't remember a time, I was not without a dog.

I get along with people from all walks of life.  While I have had angels for both young and elder clients, I have also had to deal with the meanest.  I handle all with dignity and do not lose my temper.
