I'm a Reverend in my Church and a born again Christian. I love seniors and the gifts they bring to our society. One day I hope to open my own assisted living facility for seniors. Where does one begin? From the moment Cynthia was tactfully told to refrain from 'speaking in tongues' and putting on 'impromptu prayers and sermons at any given moment' because it made family feel 'awkward' her attitude immediately shifted. A person's religious beliefs and background should not make others feel uncomfortable. Cynthia, has a bad attitude. Upon being interviewed she appears to have a great attitude. But later, you discover she carries herself in a manner that she is not working for the person paying her, but sets her own rules. That's a no-no if you want to keep a job. The entire situation is unfortunate. Especially since our family needed someone to care for out elderly loved one. Instead, it became an uncomfortable and stressful situation. She refused to communicate with the individual paying her for her services because she 'did not like the way she spoke to her'; Yet, if Cynthia followed instructions, and did not come and go as she pleased then noone would have had to reiterate information to her and become frustrated. Cynthia needs a piece of humble pie. But her attitude prevents her from attaining that. - Kiah W.
Min.Cynthia says: Good morning all. My name is Rev Cynthia Mcduffie. I was pick to take of senior, but her Husband was in the home to. I was told to work from 8am to 3pm. Because the husband had cancer I looked out for both seniors and was paid only for one. I was a reverend in my church and I had duties in the church that I had to do, but the family wanted me to live in and I could not because I had my own home and I had a position in the church that I had to do. They left me without no relief person so I can go to church and then they never paid me for my services. The son of the husband was a pastor of his on church so he ask me to pray with him for his father was dying from cancer. I was not and will not treat anyone in manner that is not proper. They was from another religion. In there religion the don't believe in prayer or the speaking in tongues . I did not do anything to harm my seniors. I wish the family all blessings in Jesus name.
