I was a nursing student, and while in school i had the chance to work in an assisted living facility for alhzeimers and dementia.(Regency Manor- Gurley Alabama) I did this for a while, though i did theory part of nursing in school for two years and another half i had a chance to get experience form practical work in a nursing home ( for school credit) Working at the assisted living offered a lot of independent hands on for me.
Other than that i have worked with children of various ages, and i have grown more patient, caring and loving in the course of it all- all the qualities that make me a great senior care giver.
I have learnt to treat the elderly with love , respect, care and dignity and given a chance in this capacity will serve to the best of my ability.
