Thank you so much for developing a site that has had such a profound effect on my life. I have 2 young boys and moved to a new city a couple of years ago and have found it very difficult to find a babysitter that is mature, compassionate and reliable. My six-year-old boy has severe brain damage resulting in Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy and Autism (among other things). He has never responded well to strangers or any disruption in routine. After reading about your site, I was skeptical. I did, however, choose to register and see for myself what all the hype was about. After posting a job, I received so many qualified applications from which to review. I was able to decide whom would be the best fit for my family. It was a daunting process because there were so many qualified applicants.

Because of Sittercity, we have found the most amazing young woman named Tiffanie B. She has set the standard for what I expect from anyone watching my children. She brings her own bag full of crafts, paints, games, matchbox cars, glitter, glo-sticks, etc. to play with the kids. She chronicles their evening activities and emails me photos the next day.

Anyway, now, my husband and I have found a new lease on life. We actually go out on dates by ourselves now. If we need to go out for a business or firm dinner, I no longer panic for days wondering if we can find a sitter. I don't worry whether or not she will show up, or if will she be responsible and mature. I don't have to rely on the judgement of an agency's staff to determine a good fit.
