I have tutored for children from the ages of 4 all the way to 17. I have also worked with children who have attention deficit disorders, and behavioral issues. I have a lot of patience and am willing to take the time that is needed for them to learn.

 I spend most of my time with the students on their work and help them to see patterns, form memorization and study skills, and to review things that they need to know. If what they have at home or bringing home from school is not enough for them, or isn't targeting what they need, I have prepared other activities for them to do.

I believe that relating assignments and work to a childs interests and things around them is the best way to get them to learn. Sometimes just working on paper isn't enough for them to understand, so sometimes activities (like a card game or music) can be used to help them.

It is important for you to know my educational background to see that I have the knowledge to tutor your child. I have taken several college courses, and currently have 42 units at Shasta College. I have taken all required English, and recieved A's and B's. I have taken all the way up to Algebra for math, and recieved B's in this. For sciences, I took Chemistry, Biology, and Astronomy in High School, which I recieved A's and B's, and am taking college level Biology in Fall 2012. I have taken several History Courses as well.
