I have extensive experience tutoring elementary, middle, and high school students. As a psychology graduate student at Pepperdine University, I have come to understand the academic milestones kids must work through in order to do well educationally. I also graduated from a top ten liberal arts college, Carleton, so I know what it takes to get kids into very selective schools. I love learning about kids specific needs, so that I can come alongside them to help them learn new concepts in a way that makes sense to them. I don't use one method for tutoring the kids I work with. Instead, I make sure to have patience and creativty with each student.

Last year, I worked in a program called AVID. AVID is a in-school tutoring program for 7-11th graders who are falling between the cracks. I love tutoring kids and coming up with creative and effective ways to help kids re-frame and re-think problems.
