In addition to my volunteer experience at Laramie Junior High, I volunteered weekly as an in-class assistant for an English teacher while I was studying abroad in Santiago, Chile. Having grown up with six siblings in a home-educated family, I have extensive informal experience in tutoring for my 4 younger siblings in music, writing, reading, math, etc. Other relevant experience includes summer camp counseling and volunteering at a weekly after school program for elementary age children during my high school years.

Having grown up with so many sibilings, I am comfortable and competent working with children and youth of all ages. 

I am a full time student looking for regular part-time work with a family.  My educational background includes completion of a B.A. in International
Studies and Spanish, and I am proficient in writing, reading, and speaking
Spanish.  I am currently pursuing a Masters degree at the University of
Denver in International Development with a certificate in global health. Currently, I am an officer in a student organization (Latin American Studies Association) and I volunteer at the Food Bank of the Rockies, as well as a local non-profit, Servicios de la Raza with their food bank and urban garden program. 

 My hobbies include playing violin, guitar, piano and singing, which has given me the opportunity to perform solo and in music groups for weddings and other community and educational events. I enjoy outdoors activities, including snowboarding, hiking, cycling, and camping, and most group sports.
