As an education major with a huge amount of math and science background, I really believe that all students can be successful at these difficult and almost universally disliked subjects if they have the right motivating experiences and the personal attention that they require. I'm very pragmatic about these subjects: most students who have difficulty in these subjects express a lack of interest because they don't feel these topics are important to their lives. Connecting math and science to everyday life in a way that is meaningful and motivating while still relevant to school curriculum is always my goal.

I have experience working with students who have special needs (autism, ADHD, learning disabilities) and would be happy to work closely with parents to create a successful study plan. However, I must remark that I am not in any way qualified to diagnose struggling students or make recommendations about their overall education. Please don't ask me to step outside my expertise- trust your child's teacher or guidance counselor!

I have a criminal background check and child abuse history clearance available upon request. My college transcript is also available, as well as Praxis scores from ETS (content knowlege tests required for teachers).
