I was a tutor in my college's Writing Center for three years.  In my last year, I became Head Tutor, designing classes and teaching seminars for writing skills.  I also worked throughout college as an English, History, and French tutor.  I subsequently have attended graduate school and have worked as a Kindergarten paraprofessional for 2.5 years, quitting only to complete my student teaching.  During this time, I facilitated small group reading and also instructed an afterschool reading tutoring program for struggling students.  Finally, I have worked in the Children's Department at Barnes & Noble booksellers for almost 10 years, and was the Children's Lead Bookseller for 2 years.  During this time, I initiated and facilitated a small group book club for elementary school students weekly through the summers.
