Isabel R. Tutor in Brookline, MA 02445. Looking for work as a tutor.

Currently, I tutor/teach in beginner arithmetic’ and logic to (k-5) at an afterschool program ounce a week. My most recent experience educating young adults was from September 2010-2011 where I served as a Teacher Assistant in an urban middle serving the youth of RI who were falling behind. The program that gave me such opportunity was called City Year (AmeriCorps Program). City Year is in a similar category as the Peace Corps only City Year focuses on the United States. In my time there, I served students whom where very bright and really needed to be challenged but also served those students who just needed an extra push in the right direction. The ages of the students ranged from 10-13 at the school.

During my time there, I was given the opportunity to take from the curriculum being taught and create my own for those students whom were extremely behind.  I really appreciated this and learned from it as well as accumulated a wonderful amount of resources.  

I believe the kind of tutoring I can offer is for those students (k-9) whom would like to be challenged/ or need help in Math, and English. I would like to disclose that I have ADHD and completely understand parents and young children/adults whom struggle with it; with that said I would like to extend my support to that community as well. I have come across numerous resources to help me and others close to me really meet their potential and succeed.

I hope to find a family that would need my services.
