I have tutored elementary school kids after school for the past year and a half in After School Achievers. After School Achievers is a tutoring and homework program for kids that have free and reduced lunch and who are at risk. I have also been an Instructional Assistant in the Special Ed. Dept at Crooked Creek Elementary where I ran small groups with the students in math and writing and reading. I have also been an Instructional Assistant in the gifted and talented students program (COMPASS) at Allisonville Elementary school, where  I worked with students one-on-one or in small groups on math, reading, and language arts. My senior year of high school and freshmen year of college I worked as an English/Reading tutor with Project SEED. Project Seed is typically a math program teaching younger kids advanced math, but during the summer they offer a program to high school students to further their math and english/reading skills  and take them on college tours. I graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting and I have taught stage combat classes to younger kids at their theater camps when I worked in Maine last summer at the Theater at Monmouth. I have also done scene work with kids!
