I am one of the founders and art teachers of an art program at the lower east side called Upstairs83 (upstairs83dotcom). I also teach a private art lesson to a group of 5 kids ages 7-9, and I am now looking for another private group of kids, or kid.
My art classes are super fun and innovative. I always begin with a body warm up and transition to unexpected activites like "gestural wall drawing, walking line, lines in space, ambigious colors, know or don't know in the city, collective city drawings..."
I have three lesson plans to choose from (duration no less than four sessions):

These Lesson Plans have been developed and sucessfully taught by Upstairs in the past year. A lot of work has been dedicated to the development of this new art curriculum and the kids and parents are really happy with our new approach to art making!
