I grew up in Bethlehem, PA and left the area after graduating from Moravian College. I married and had two children - a boy and a girl. My work experience beyond being a mother of young children included being a high school English teacher and substitute special education teacher. When my oldest child entered kindergarten, I completed my training in Montessori Early Childhood Education. After several years of teaching in two private Montessori schools, I opened my own Montessori school in Virginia Beach.

When my children went to college, I enrolled in graduate school and received a Master's Degree in Child Psycology/Child Development from Goddard College. I worked as a home therapist, developing a program for at risk middle school children. I also developed a model Montessori child care program in Daytona Beach, Florida. Eventually, I became the director of a Montessori magnet school in Virginia. During that time, I was trained in Montessori Elementary education.

I am comfortable with children of all ages, but prefer to working with children older than toddlers. Recently, I directed an after school program for middle school children. I have been a part-time live-in nanny and babysitter. When I work with individual families, I follow their guidelines in relationship to diet, religion and social etiquette. I love working with children and hope to be involved with them for many years to come.
