Are you looking for a mature, compassionate, and rigorous tutor for your child or teenager? My name is Katy Fitzpatrick and I offer services in a wide vareity of academic subjects for all ages.  After graduating summa cum laude and being inducted into Phi Beta Kappa from Drew University in 2008, I served in the Peace Corps as an English teacher in rural Kazakhstan.  For two years I taught children ages 7 - 17 in regular English classes and provided extra lessons after school for small groups of advanced students preparing for national standardized exams.  In January 2011 I moved to Allentown, and began working as GED teacher, providing adults instruction in basic high school mathematics, reading, writing, social studies, and science, and a majority of my students went on to pass the GED exam.  Currently I am working at a parrochial school in Squirrel HIill, teaching 7th and 8th grade language arts and 10th grade creative writing. Having worked with a diverse variety of students, many of whom had significant barriers to success, I strongly believe that every student has the ability to achive their academic goals.  I am honored and excited to play a part in your child's education.
