Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile. I am a 6th grade Language Arts/Reading teacher at TJ Rusk Middle School in the Love Field area of Dallas. My students primarily come from low socio-economic backgrounds, which requires me to modify my instruction on a daily basis to best meet the needs of the students I serve. As a Reading teacher, my curriculum is focused off of 7 strategies good readers use to gain comprehension. As a tutor, I use the strategies to help your child better understand what they are reading. I also teach a College Prep class, which helps students become better organzied, which a lot of times is what is hindering success.
