I am a current junior at Auburn University majoring in Early Childhood Education, in hopes to receive my master's in Elementary and Early Childhood Education. My experience begins around middle school with babysitting children for short periods of time at my own home, ballparks, and other homes. When I started driving, I stretched my range of babysitting/nannying and began after school babysitting for my junior and senior year of high school. In college, I connected at a church and babysit regularly for families that attend. In the summer of 2015 and 2016, I nannied a special-needs, elementary-aged girl with Downs Syndrome. Being with her everyday and seeing her grow definitely affirmed my decision in wanting to be a teacher and I haven't regretted it one bit. Currently, I work in the after-school program at Richland Elementary in the kindergarten classroom and I am also a nursery worker at First Presbyterian Read more Opelika.
