Well I am currently a stay at home mom to a very smart & beautiful almost 2 year old little girl named Emma. I love being at home with her, teaching her, & watching her grow older. I've babysat previously for friends & family. All short time & all of various ages. I have no professional training so no certificates just life experience. I am currently "employed" by a babysitting agency (Nannys of Brentwood) based in Nashville, TN. I only work when they have special events in town. I love working with children because I love to teach them things. I love being able to work with them on the basics of knowledge & anything I can help them on to better understand so that they may be successful in school & in life. I feel you can never work with a child on what they know too much. The Read more more time put into learning the more successful in life they will be. I love being artistic & using my imagination. I love helping children broaden their minds with creativity. As we get older we lose our "innocence". Children have big, beautiful minds eager to learn & grow. I love being able to be apart of that. I love how hilariously funny they can be. I love being with them & going on adventures using our imagination creativity. I became a caregiver because my daughters childhood is very important to me. I needed something where I don't have to sacrifice her mentally & emotionally. I believe being with her & constantly teaching her is doing wonders for her education & psychologically. But I also need to socialize her with other children. So I would like to be a caregiver to a parent in need who unfortunately cannot do for their child what I can do for mine & who would not ask me to sacrifice my child & how I want to raise her during this critical learning stage in her life. If playing favorites is a worry, please don't be. I'm a firm believer in appropriate (for age) discapline. Some may say I'm too harsh on my daughter. I see it as it is not to early for her to be learning right from wrong. Children mimic what they see. They learn & absorb what they see the main adults in their life doing & let them get away with. I want for myself to be my daughters main role-model/teacher. I want to be just about the only one teaching her. I'm very strict on what I want her exposed to & very specific in what I want her learning. So I would prefer to be able to work & keep her with me. She's very well behaved & I'm pretty sure it's cause she spends so much time with me.
