I started babysitting when I was 12 years old in my church's nursery. I love children and I'm passionate about protecting and caring for them. When I became a teenager, I became a weekly babysitter to several children in my church and neighborhood. In 2004, I enrolled at the University of Alabama and double majored in human development and criminal justice. Throughout college, I work at a Christian daycare that eventually closed in 2007. I was a daycare teaching assistant. I worked in the infant and toddler classrooms. For the toddler class, I was tasked with making biweekly class schedules that were used to stimulate an interactive learning environment. In my last year of my undergraduate career, I interned at the Tuscaloosa Children's Center where I worked with children who had been abused. I must say, this experience changed my life. I went on to get my MS in criminal Read more justice and for the past year, I have worked in Phoenix, Arizona as a Child Abuse Prevention Specialist and Forensic Interviewer. What makes me a great babysitter is that I have a passion for children. I believe their innocence should be protected and not abused. I recently moved back to Montgomery to accept a position as a Program Manager at a nonprofit organization. My career path is changing, but my love for kids remains the same.
