Hello there, My name is Timberly Weber and I am 29-year-old graduate from the University of Montevallo with a BA in psychology. I just moved down here to Montgomery 2 weeks tomorrow, from Birmingham, where I have lived my entire life, to be with my fiancé and his kids, who live here in the Montgomery area. Hence me joining Care.com and looking for a job. I have spent most of my life working with kids and it all started for me about the age of 12. That is when I got my first babysitting job and it all got started for me. I got Red Cross certified in CPR started babysitting this little boy, Braxton, from my barn. I became his regular sitter and soon his mother gave out my name to some of the kids that were in his preschool class but also in the neighborhood and from there Read more things just took off. From there I would at times on the weekends have 3 jobs on any given Saturday. I never had a real job during high school or college, the only job that I ever had was babysitting/nannying but it kept me incredibly busy and I loved every minute of it. I had many regular families in the neighborhood that I lived in up in Birmingham where I almost became a surrogate family member going on family vacations and attending children's extracurricular activities in my spare time. Later down the road in college I became a part time nanny for family in a neighboring town in Vestavia Hills, picking up two children from school 3 days a week while their parents were at work. And after college I nannied full time for a year for a family in Homewood, AL for the Aycocks. They had three children, all under the age of five. What a challenging but fun job this was. Never a dull moment! To me watching babies is the most precious job out there! Moms and dads are trusting you with their most loved possessions, their babies, and it is something that I take seriously and love doing very much.
