In college I started off my major with elementary education and later switched to early childhood education/special education however I did not end up graduating in either but I received a lot of experience in the 2 years I was in those majors. I was required to work at the Rise Center in Tuscaloosa where I worked with children who had both special needs and children who did not. I would also babysit quite a bit when I was in high school for friends and family and loved it! I also have an older brother with Down Syndrome so I am fairly good with people and children with special needs!
