I am currently a senior at The University of Alabama. I am a criminal justice major and hold a 4.0 GPA in my UA classes. I transferred to Tuscaloosa from a city college in Santa Barbara, California which is where I call home. This is my second and final year at the University. I am extremely dedicated to my school work, but I am also passionate about children. I hope to fill my extra time helping out families that need assistance with child care. I worked as a full-time nanny for 2 different families over a span of two and half years. I was a mentor and home school teacher 5 days a week for an at-risk young teenager. I attended meetings and sessions with the teen, which included NA, AA, and therapy sessions. A normal day would include making sure she had her breakfast and medication. We would do Read more school work with short breaks. If there was an appointment on the schedule, I would drive her to these locations. While she was in these various appointments or working on school assignments, I would also help around the house with light housework and taking care of the pets. The second family I worked for was much slower pace. I picked up the children at home and dropped them off at school every morning. In the afternoons, I would pick them up from school and drive them home or to various afternoon activities.

Trustline is California's official background check for license-exempt child care providers (i.e. babysitters and nannies) and the only authorized screening program in California with access to fingerprint records at the California Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation and access to the California Child Abuse Central Index. The Trustline registry toll-free telephone number is 1-800-822-8490.
