Over the past 13 years, I've cared for children from 3 weeks to 17 years. I have had LOTS of experience in all things child-related :) story-reading, meal-preparing, swimming pool playing, diaper-changing, nap-taking, laundry-folding, homework-helping, craft-making, bottle-feeding, connect 4-playing, park playing, and Disney channel-watching. And I love it. In fact, I recently graduated from the University of Alabama with a B. S. in psychology in order to become a child therapist. I am a responsible, safety-minded person. I was a 911 call taker for 3 years and I am certified in infant, child, and adult CPR, and have had extensive training and certification on the appropriate first responses to any injury or medical emergency. I've been told I have a whimsical personality and I tend to get along well with children --playing dress-up, reading to them, playing games, etc. I am a pretty even-tempered person and I have a high Read more level of patience --especially with children, being calmer in a stressful situation in order to find a solution whereas another adult under the same circumstances would most likely become frustrated or overwhelmed. Jessica was wonderful. She came in and settled right in with the kids. She introduced herself to the kids. She made sure that they ate well and had snacks. She was able to handle all 4 kids (5yo, 4yo twins, and 2yo [as big as the twins]) without the house getting destroyed and no injuries!! Little Miss, whom never likes the sitters and always wants them to leave, did not want Jessica to leave!!! That says a lot about Jessica. We will definitely hire Jessica again!!
