I started caring for children through nannying and babysitting starting in junior high. I have always loved children and sought out work with them. I have experience working with children of all ages starting at 3 months. I tailor everything I do to the physical, mental, and social developmental needs of the child. In college, I was an overnight camp counselor for two years for children ages 5 to 18. I spent time planning activities each week that tailored to the needs of the children in that particular camp. I ensured days were filled with physical activity that targeted areas that needed improvement and a variety of mental stimulation tasks. During my time at camp, I worked with children with a variety of abilities. I have a tool belt equipped with knowledge and experience to cater needs to a child of any ability. I have recently nannied for a 16 Read more month old full time and her 6 year old brother on occasion before accepting a position at the Jacksonville Humane Society. I miss working with children more and more everyday and would love to get back to nannying! Throughout college, I also tutored children between the ages of 7 and 16 in math, reading, history, and science. I have also worked as a tutor for ACT prep. I would love to have the opportunity to not only work with your child during this time of uncertainty but also help ensure your load of work at home is lessened through helping with daily chores and tasks.
