I became a babysitter/caregiver because I grew up with several cousins and siblings who are significantly younger than I am and I always enjoyed taking care of them so that parents could work or have time to themselves. For about eight years, I volunteered at my church as a teacher for Vacation Bible School, Religious Education, and Sacramental Preparation classes, where I spent anywhere from three to five hours a day teaching and caring for children between the ages of three and ten. My duties included not only teaching the children that day's lesson, but supervising crafts and games and occasionally first aid assistance. I have consistently worked as a babysitter for a couple families, including my own, which has also given me significant experience with children under the age of two. I am Safe Sitter certified, and have also taken the Keeping Children Safe course required by my sister's Read more school for volunteers. I am a senior at the University of Arkansas, where I am majoring in English Literature and Communications. I can offer significant homework help/tutoring as well, primarily in English and writing.
