I started babysitting in junior high after taking the Red Cross Babysitting Course as part of a badge for Girl Scouts. This was how I made spending money until I graduated high school. After graduating nursing school in 1979 I worked in pediatrics, newborn nursery, and neonatal intensive care among other healthcare areas until I retired from clinical practice in 2014. Pets are no issue, I have several. I now teach full time at Bryan University in the medical assisting program and am looking for something to earn a little extra money. I miss my work with children and think babysitting would fulfill both my need to care for children again (all the grandchildren are out of state) while earning some extra spending money.
