I grew up in Embassy communities overseas while my mother worked for the U.S. State Department. Starting in Junior High I started babysitting and pet sitting with my older sister. In High School I started babysitting on my own and organized a 'Babysitters Club' within the Embassy where parents could leave their children at a volunteer's home with several babysitters while parents attended Embassy functions.
