I have been a nanny for over 10 years. One of my first families consisted of 2 boys, when I start the oldest was 3 and the mother was 8 months pregnant. The oldest boy was diagnosed with Autism while I was their nanny, and because of that I was able to grow and learn so much from him. I was with that family for 5 years, but once both children were in school my services were no longer needed. After that, I started nannying for a family of one little boy and a little girl who, was not even in thoughts. I stayed with that family for about 5 years, until the mother's work re-located them to San Fransisco. Currently, I have been with my newest family for just under 2 years, unfortunately the hours are very limited and are not meeting my financial needs, I have been very Read more fortunate to have found long life friends in every one of the families I have nanny-ed for. I still stay very much in contact with my all the families, and love hearing updates about how the children are doing. My style is of nannying comes from my background in teaching. I moved to the United States in 1989, and before that I was an elementary teacher in Mexico. I have always had a passion for teaching and was able to easily translate it to nannying. I love seeing the joy in children's eyes when they discover new things. Each one of the children I nanny-ed have learned Spanish with me and are still continuing their knowledge of the language. Personally I am a mother to 5, 4 of them grown and expanding on their own families, with one 15 year old boy still at home. I am very flexible with my schedule, as well as extremely punctual. I take a lot of pride with my work, and know that everything I do has an impact on children's lives. I am happy to provide any references upon requests.
