I have three younger siblings who I've cared for since I was about 12 years old, so I have plenty experience with children. Along with that all the volunteer work I've done has centered around children. I volunteered at the Mesa Public Library and the Red Mountain Library managing a small group of children and reading to them. While I was in school, apart of my Early Childhood Profressions class was to go to a nearby elementary school (Lindbergh Elementary School) and help the teacher with her special needs kindergarten class. I would help present lessons, manage the class, prepare new lessons, make copies etc. I'm currently taking evening classes at Pima Medical Institute to become a medical assistant. This is just a stepping stone to further my medical career. A few years from now I hope to be a pediatric nurse.
