I'm 35, married, have an 11 year old daughter, just moved from Chicago. I love children and have always done some sort of childcare all of my life. I have a BA in psychology and am currently studying to get into law school. I owned a small women's boutique in Chicago for 10 years before we moved. I used to do ABA therapy for children/young adults with autism. I cared for one particular family's child on a regular basis for 7 years who would be happy to give a raving reference! I'm not afraid of housework, homework, cooking, bedtimes. My references will tell you that I have always gone above and beyond for their families and treat them as if they are my family. I'm extremely passionate about caring for children and can truly appreciate what it means to have a good helping hand in a hectic family. We had an exceptional experience with "Liz". I contacted her the day before I needed her. She drove over to my home within minutes of contact and met my son. She spent about 45 minutes with him and focused her attention on making sure that he was comfortable with her. She did not assume she had the job, she really took pride in "interviewing" for the job. She is very accommodating and very flexible. She played with my son rather than watched him watch television! We have already scheduled to use her again next week. When she watched our little guy, she put him to sleep. When he woke up the next morning, he called for "Liz" to get him out of his crib rather than mommy or daddy. He seemed to like her a lot and asked about her several times the next day. Also, she was able to watch my son either at my house or her house, which is helpful for us as we have other people live in our home as well. I can't wait to start increasing my date nights with my husband again, and Liz will be our first choice! Thank you Liz!
