I have been caring for others my whole life. I have had the opportunities to work with a wide range of ages, also with varying physical and mental capabilities. Coming from a household of 7 I raised my two youngest siblings up to the ages of 8 and 9, my youngest having down syndrome and the older severe ADHD. I got my NA when I was 16 and I worked in a nursing home as a nursing assistant for sometime before I moved here to Arizona. During my time here I have gotten to work with an amazing 4 year old little girl who is completely nonverbal, has autism and a rare genetic disorder and 3 teenage girls who have become like family to me. Each having their own level of intellectual disability I created and ran their entire homeschool program. The program contained work from grades Pre-k hand writing Read more to high school trigonometry; including social, emotional, and life skills, while keeping it in line with the AZ education standards. I maintained their day to day schedule, designing engaging activities to support a healthy life balance, keeping them physically and socially active while having fun. I have over 12 years of experience in total with children. I have always absolutely loved caring for others, especially babies or those with special needs, I have an undeniable soft spot. I know how to create a fun, safe, and caring environment. Keeping things energetic and active while being able to teach. Helping others grow and watching them flourish, has always been my favorite!!
