I was born in Newton, Iowa but grew up and was raised in Iowa City. I have three siblings… Oliver who is a 4-star collegiate football player, Scarlet who is a Division 1 swimmer, and Finn who is playing the sports in the change of the seasons. I come from a very athletic background, as my parents were collegiate athletes as well. My desire to become a competitive athlete sparked from as young as I can remember. But this has led me to where I am now, a full ride scholarship athlete at Arizona State University, studying Health Sciences and minoring in Nutrition and Healthy Living. Being given the opportunity to move out of state to pursue my swimming goals as well as continue my academic career, I simply could not say no. I moved to Arizona in August of 2018 not knowing any of my teammates and thousands of Read more miles away from family and friends. I adapted to the new environment and made connections with my teammates quickly. I was even nominated as a team leader my very first year! By surrounding myself with positive and like minded student-athletes had me flourishing. In the classroom, I have made the Dean’s list for the past seven semesters. While balancing school and athletics, I managed to make the travel squad for every meet in my past four years at ASU. While racing the PAC12 and competing for my Sun Devils, I am a three time 200 butterfly finalist as well as a two time 100 butterfly finalist for the PAC12 conference. I contributed to my team’s success of placing 3rd overall, our highest in years. Outside of the collegiate season, I decided to stay in Tempe, AZ and continue to train and travel with my team to compete against the nation’s greatest athletes. Because of this time dedication and drive I had within me, in my time here at ASU, I qualified for my second USA Swimming Olympic Trials in Omaha, Nebraska where I got to professionally showcase my greatness. Now that my academic/athletic career is over, I am looking for experience! One thing is for sure, I love kids! I’m considering being a teacher as well! I am a huge people person! I have been full time babysitter/nanny all last summer. I have experience w infants all the way till 8 years of age. I love pets as well. Please reach out if needed :)
