Hello! My name is Lizi, I am 21 and have been babysitting since I was 14. I am grateful that I have been able to make money by simply spending time with children and keeping them safe and happy. After I graduated from High School in 2014 I went to Hamburg, Germany as an unofficial au pair for a 10 and 12 year old. Upon returning, I went to a community college for 3 years and worked as a nanny for a 9 year old during much of that time (connected with her mom here on sitter city!). After more than two years working Monday-Friday 3-6 the father was able to shift his work hours and take over my duties. After that I was lucky enough to got a job working at a day care center at a yoga studio.I did that from February right up until September 17, the Read more week before I moved to Santa cruz. I really enjoyed that job because I was able to spend time with kids of all different ages in a special room with toys and crafts for the duration of their parent's yoga class. I go to UCSC and am on campus until around noon Monday through Thursday. On Friday I finish closer to 2. I volunteer at the Homeless Services Center on Wednesdays so that is the only day I would be unable to babysit. Weekends are very open besides a weekly 12:00 meeting on campus on Sundays. My hourly rate has ranged from$12-$15. I am generally comfortable with anything within that. I genuinely like babysitting, helping families, giving parents freedom from their constant responsibilities and getting to give my attention and anergy to a young person. I am reliable and responsible and have references who are happy to speak on my behalf. I look forward to being able to help you in whatever way I can!
