I received my teaching credential in December 2013 from Saint Mary's college. During my credential program I worked in a 3rd grade and 2nd grade classroom. Along with that, I also substitute teach, so I am very good at coming into a new environment and finding a balance of fun and control. I have years of experience with children both in and outside of the classroom. Although I have been babysitting kids since early high school, my professional career with children dates back to my junior year of high school when I worked at a children's birthday party/gymnastics venue called Gymntastic. In college, I volunteered in a local elementary school, in addition to continuing with babysitting. I would consider myself an up-beat, energetic person. My philosophy with children is to educate them on how to be caring and active citizens in our world. I truly value respect and good manners, Read more and strongly encourage kids I work with to obtain/practice these qualities- all the while having A LOT OF FUN! I am CPR trained.
