Hello! My name is Nicole, and I would love to get to know you and your family through babysitting! I currently live in Anaheim with my husband, and work during the day as the Director of Children's Ministries at Orange Villa Bible Church. I graduated from Loyola Marymount University and currently hold a California State Teaching Credential. I have been babysitting for over 8 years, and have worked with children of all ages (from newborns all the way up to 13 year olds). I feel comfortable coming over for just the occasional need, or establishing a relationship as a consistent sitter. My part-time job is only during the days, so I am free all evenings/nights, as well as the weekends. While babysitting, I try to make the environment as comfortable as possible for the children. I do this by discussing ahead of time the pre-established rules and routines. This way, Read more even though I may be a new face in the home, the children will recognize that the same rules apply. It also eases anxiety for the children, especially the younger ones, when they recognize that homework time, snack time, or bedtime is all the same. At the same time, I like to occasionally bring new toys with me or create new games to play with the children I babysit. It is my goal to make the children feel comfortable, while still adding a bit of fun to the experience. This way, when you tell your children that the babysitter is coming over the response will be excitement rather than anxiety.
