I'm a first-generation Sri Lankan woman, who is currently attending Berkeley City College. I'm planning on earning my Bachelor’s degree in Children's Education, Psychology, and Sociology. For the past three years, I have worked with several human rights organizations such as Amnesty International and UN Women on various campaigns to promote awareness around underrepresented issues like sustainable fashion and violence against women. I have always been passionate about making a difference in society. I recently realized I would like to join my family's business, which is a running a Montessori school in Los Angeles. As a young girl, I watched my family teach and care for hundreds of children; leaving a positive impact on every single one of them. I began working with children at the ripe age of 13. My family's school is where I gained valuable skills and a love for working with small children. Instilling compassion, empathy, Read more and integrity into the youth we worked with was our top priority. I genuinely understand how impressionable children are and how essential it is to provide them with the right support. I will do everything in my power to give your children the best care possible.
