I've wanted to become a teacher since I was in kindergarten. Since 7th grade, I have assisted and lead groups of students every summer for various activities for churches (specifically, Vacation Bible School). I have recently graduated from Cal Poly SLO with Bachelor of Science in Liberal Studies (Elementary Teaching) and a minor in Studio Art. Throughout my four years of school, I have logged hours in classrooms, taught various small groups in schools, and learned a lot about the field I will start my career in. Also, while in SLO, I worked as a teacher's assistant in a daycare where I worked with 1-5 year old children. I have also worked at an Afterschool program where I helped first and third graders with their homework. I am currently enrolled in the multiple subject teaching credential program and am student teaching. I love when people succeed with what they're trying Read more to learn. Although I have never officially tutored before, I am confident I have what it takes, and/or the willingness to learn what is necessary in order to achieve our goals.

We were so completely fortunate to have found Christy through SitterCity. We have a 5 yr old as well as an 9 yr old daughter and have had nothing less than amazing experiences throughout 1 1/2 yrs of employing Christy. Not only was she the sitter but she has become one of the fam bam. Unfortunately, we’ve moved from California to Texas and can no longer hire Christy, we hope to find anyone remotely close to the caring, attentiveness, loving and goofy attitude that Christy brought. The girls definitely misses the dance parties she would participate in with them and making DIY misc. projects. Christy is not only amazing with the kids but is extremely respectful to us and our house and also wonderful with our huskies. We will miss Christy but hope that another family can also have this experience if she so accepts your job offer.
