I am 25, and currently in grad school at University of San Francisco pursuing my MBA. I have babysat kids ever since I was about 12 years old, when I started watching after my little brother while my mom ran errands. I loved "playing mom" so much that I started helping out whenever my friends parents had obligations to fulfill, and by the time I was old enough, I was working as a camp counselour in addition to being the neighborhood "go-to" for many of the moms in my area. I have cared for kids that range from infants to young teens, and while I am often asked if I have a preference for what aged children I watch after, I honestly do not. I love carrying little babies, even when they are finicky, and I love how active and involved I can get with older kids, so whatever age, Read more I know I will be able to have a great time and make sure the kids have fun too. (And do their homework, chores, whatever else you would like, of course too!). Growing up I had a live-in nanny who has become one of my dearest friends as I have gotten older, so I really understand the importance of creating and maintaining a bond with the child or children you are watching, as well as with the family. It takes a lot to trust a "stranger" to watch your child for the first time, so I am happy to come by and meet the families and children that I intend to work for to make sure that it will be a good fit for everyone. I have had CPR and First Aid Training, however my certifications may not be current. If certification is very important to you, just let me know, and I will be more than happy to register for the re-certification course!
