I am 23 years old and just graduated from Cal State Long Beach with a BA in Sociology this past December. I love working with kids, improving the lives of those around me and am committed to working where I can do just that. Outside of work and school, I enjoy surfing, training for triathlons, snowboarding, and traveling. My work experience includes working the past three summers in day camp at the Magdalena Ecke YMCA. My duties as a Camp Leader included ensuring the safety of all campers, organizing/programming fun and engaging activities for campers aged 6-12, and performing lifeguard duties for water camps. I also worked the past year as an Aide at Clara Barton Elementary in the Long Beach Unified School District. At Barton, I was responsible for tutoring students grades 1-5, assisting teachers with lesson plans, supervising children on the playground, and conducting lessons.
