Greetings! My name is Aleyssa. I am 27 years old, I currently attend California Baptist University and I am studying Communication and Child Care. I have worked with all ages, teaching preschool, recreational activities, after school programs. Prior to becoming a student at CBU, I worked for the County of Riverside with older adults who suffered from mental health. I am trained and certified in First-Aid, AED, and CPR for ALL ages including infants. I am well equipped in many areas of child and elderly care, while also understanding that I have something NEW to learn day. I have experience in training and learn Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, along with many other interpersonal treatments that are effective in building beautiful connections with all. On my off time, I am working on the development of my non-profit organization, which I recently had success i trademarking. The organization named "Bounce Read more Back Kid" aims to highlight the innate trait that all of us have but sometimes forget about; resiliency. I believe we are ALL resilient and my favorite saying is "You've survived 100% of your worst days, and this fact cannot be disputed". I genuinely enjoy being around kids. I grew up as an only child, and I have always enjoyed caring for other children and embracing them as if they were my own sibling or loved one. I am very dedicated and consistent with whatever job I am given. I believe all children are amazing and have the ability to teach me something new! I believe that I have been raised well by my mother and I have a natural nurturing spirit that I like to impart to others.
