I was an au pair from August 2013 - August 2014 in Germany. I had the wonderful opportunity to take care of four children - a 3-yr-old girl, 5-yr-old boy, 8-yr-old boy, and 9-yr-old girl. We grew very, but it was sadly time to move on. As a teenager, I also looked after the children of some of the coworkers of my parents. I became an au pair because I wanted to see how children develop from inside the family, to live in close contact with familial affection distinct from my own, and, most importantly, to have fun while at the same time gaining practical life experience.
