Hello Families! My name is Colleen and I am an Early Childhood Education Specialist, new(ish) to Northern California. I have worked with children since 2000, including newborns to elementary school students. For the past past fifteen years I have focused on young children (birth-kindergarten) with mild-severe special needs including autism, intellectual disabilities, ADHD, learning disabilities, severe speech delays, ODD, and social/emotional delays. I realize parents/caregivers need a break or help from time to time, and that's why I am here! I am currently a special education teacher on summer break with availability throughout the next few weeks for morning and evening care, or the occasional date night. I do not need a guaranteed amount of hours, but can provide that if needed. Some of my favorite activities to do with kids of any age include: as much outdoor play as possible, cooking (including meal prepping while little ones nap), swimming, Read more crafts, experiments of all sorts, and as little screen time as possible.
