Hi! My name is Liz and I am a 25-year-old graduate student studying social work at USC. I am a native New Yorker and have been babysitting for over 12 years with children ages newborn to 14. I have a wide variety of experience working with children, both as a babysitter and student mentor. My most recent role was as a special needs caregiver to a 9-year-old diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder, Attention Hyperactivity Disorder and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder Combined Type, in conjunction with his 2 younger siblings, ages 5 and 2 in Brooklyn, New York. I worked full-time with their family (50-60 hours per week) and handled all aspects of the children's daily routine, as well as household maintenance. I also have worked extensively throughout the last many years with Girls Inc., a nonprofit organization based in New York City, as a student mentor working with at-risk girls ages 5-12 Read more in low-income neighborhoods on weekends. I am seeking a part-time/occasional babysitting job to work on weekends, as well as during the week if needed. I come highly recommended by past employers and am looking to build a bond with both the children and families I interact with. Please feel free to call me or e-mail me. I look forward to speaking with you!

Liz, Liz, Liz! She's more than a sitter, she's a friend, a passionate caregiver in all walks of her life, and a super fun person to be around. I found Liz on SitterCity. She has been taking care of our daughter (now 20 months) a few nights a month for about six months. When our regular sitter had a conflict come up with our standing date night, we needed a backup sitter. Liz to the rescue! She went from backup to first choice because she's so wonderful. Interacting with our daughter, Liz is always hugely positive and encouraging, keyed-in to exactly what's going on with our daughter developmentally (she's taught us a thing or two about parenting!), and extremely patient. Her extensive previous experience as a nanny helps us feel very comfortable leaving our daughter in her care. Liz always shows up on time with a huge smile. She weathers our daughter's changing moods and our unpredictable schedules with grace and a sweet attitude. Every time we come home from a night away, Liz wants to tell us all about how our daughter has grown since they last spent time together. I know that Liz genuinely cares about our daughter's health and growth as a person. I hope Liz continues to be our sitter for years to come, and can be a strong role model for our daughter as she grows up!
