Hello, My life experience, training, but most of all my desire to take care of children has prepared me for this next transition in my life. I'm ready to offer the highest standard of childcare for your family. I am an energetic mother of 3 older children. My children are now out of the house (one is working and 2 are in college). I have been happily married for 30 years. I college for approximately 3 years. My major was Psychology. I took many classes in Child Development, which came in handy for me in the raising my own children. While attending college, I worked as a preschool instructor. Although my work as a preschool teacher was long ago, I still have quite a repertoire of songs and art projects. After college, I worked as a flight attendant and in management for 17 years. The recurrent annual training in first Read more aid, CPR and safety emergencies was ingrained in my mind. In addition to my calm under pressure attitude, on the occasions when I was put to the test, I felt I was well prepared. Later, when I worked in In-Flight Management I was responsible for managing a group 200 flight attendants. In addition to this, I would work in the hiring and training of new flight attendants. With the closing of my airlines West Coast operations, and the birth of my third child, I decided to retire from my airline position and stay home with my children. My time raising my children was busy, but I always found time to work in their classrooms, volunteer for heading up fundraisers and teaching religious Sunday classes to 2nd and 3rd graders, (lots of arts and crafts) and other community charities. I have always been drawn to working with children. I love to work with babies and watch and assist in their development. I also love working with school age children as well. I enjoy tutoring, homework help, arts and crafts, hiking/walking and preparing healthy snacks or meals. I just completed 2 years with a family of two children, an infant and 2 year, who recently had to relocate. We were all very sad to say good bye! As a mom, I know how precious your children are to you! I know that you need to have piece of mind that they are in good hands when you are away. Providing a nurturing, and stimulating environment is important. I'm confident I can offer your family the highest level of care, with patience, understanding, energy, organization, sound judgement, and experience. Thank you for considering me for your childcare needs.
