I am a first-year student at UC Davis with an interest in nutrition, the outdoors, reading, adventuring in cute towns, animals, and of course, children. When I am not in school, I live in Long Beach, CA where I enjoy kickboxing, yoga, discussing books with my fellow book worms, and watching sunsets at the local beach. At home I work at a juice bar where I have the opportunity to learn about healthy ways to nourish our bodies and follow up on the latest news in nutrition and the food industry within America. This is mainly where my passion for nutrition developed (and also from watching various food documentaries on Netflix/ doing my own research). My objective for my future career is to teach families how to live a longer, more blissful life by reducing health problems through the food we put in our mouths. In high school, I took Read more a child development class where I had the opportunity to work with preschoolers. My duties included: preparing lesson plans, setting up "play time" outside, distributing snack for snack time, and playing/ talking to the kids during free-time. In addition, I had to clean up a few boo boos every once in a while. If there are any emergencies I am CPR certified. Aside from this experience, I have co- baby sat with friends who have taught me how to change diapers, have patience, and bottle feed.
