Growing up with a younger and older sibling both 3 years apart from my age, I was always the person in the middle that would understand the differences between the two. This and growing up with many cousins made me really want to work with kids. I later became a Camp Counselor at the Richmond Beacon in San Francisco in a group from ages 7-14 planning out activities such as field trips and helping them out with school work as well. From early 2013 to late 2014 I worked here then worked at the Asian Art Museum from late 2014 to 2016 as an Art Intern focusing on kids from 5-15. From here on I learned more about engaging with kids through art and understanding youth in their perspective oh how they see things. Lastly, I most recently worked at El Cerrito Martial Arts as the Camp Counselor for the Read more summer and the school year in 2017. I worked with kids from ages 3-11, which trained me to effectively divide my attention because younger kids tend to need the extra focus. I am also CPR, AED, and First Aid certified which has prepped me to handle the worst case scenario but also deal with situations calmly.
