-I have over 10 years experience in childcare. -I started out babysitting at a young age for a family of twins, 2-3 times a week. I watched them from the time they were 2 months old, until 5 years old. While baby-sitting and in high-school I worked as an ESS leader for the La Mesa/Spring Valley school district. The ages I looked after were 3rd and 4th grade with a ratio of 8:1 -While attending college I worked as a nanny for a little boy who was then 2 years old. I worked nights with him. I would arive around 4, do outside play with him, bathe him, feed him, read to him, and get him into bed. I worked for his family for the entire 4 years of college. -In 2011 after I graduated, I moved to Ohio. There I was a full-time Live-in nanny. The lady I worked Read more for had 3 children. Two of which were mentally disabled. Her oldest son, who was 7 when I started, had DS. Her youngest son who was 4 when I started was autistic. And she had a daughter who was 5 when I started. Working and living with them was a challenging, but great learning and very rewarding experience. While working there i helped potty train both boys, and taught her youngest son how to read. I am still very close with the family and we talk regularly. I am now currently a nanny for a great family. It is one day a week, and I babysit for them from time to time when the go out on date nights and such. I'm always available for babysitting :) I know what it's like to need a night out from time to time.
